Clairbourn Holds 4th Book Drive with OBOC - May
2009! Clairbourn School, located in San Gabriel,
CA, and local girl scout troops teamed up for an extraordinary 2009 OBOC book drive. The kids collected more than twice
their goal of 500 books. Congratulations!!

Para Los Ninos "Bonded Together by the Fun of Books"
Event Huge Success! A very special
book giving event took place June 4th, 2009 at the Para Los Ninos school, a LAUSD charter school for kids on skid row located
in downtown Los Angeles. OBOC donated over 2,000 books to to the students on their campus. The event, entitled
"Bonded Together by the Fun of Books," was a huge success! The OBOC Kids'
Council worked with the individual classes as they choose several like-new books to keep for their own. There was a
wide selection of reading levels and types of books to ensure kids of all ages find something they like.
The OBOC
Kid's Council, along with help from Anita Knight from the Clairbourn School, were overwhelmed by the gratitude of all the
children. Thanks to all for this terrific day!

Book-Drop Bin Now at Sierra Fitness Health Club Sierra Fitness has generously offered space for a One Book One Child book-drop donation bin in their health club facility.
